Nigel De Jong was born November 7th 1994 in Den Helder, The Netherlands. Nigel became a motorsports fan at the age of 5 when his father took him to the local dirt track oval. Nigel wasted no time to have a passion for the sport as he would go once a month. He grew up watching Formula One and becoming a fan of Fernando Alonzo. Nigel started watching Nascar about 4 years ago and became instantly hooked with the sport and becoming a Kurt Busch fan for being a strong driver and showing improvements and adversity. He started playing racing games around 2006 with Race Driver Grid and Dirt. in 2007 he got his Logitech G25 and he played those racing games more consistently and raced them for a few years before being introduced to Iracing.
Nigel started simulation racing with R-Factor in 2012 and race there just for a few months, he would race the Nascar mod and some of his friends were telling him about Iracing.com he started doing some research. Nigel signed up to Iracing.com in mid 2012 and has not looked back, he instantly grabbed a hold of the simulation and has been extremely dominant, he struggled for about the first year. around 2013 he found speed and his domination began winning over 400 races, capturing 800+ top 5 finishes and over 600 poles. Nigel is one of the most dominant drivers in Iracing.com, he is always in contention for winning races and is a very clean driver. he is a well known driver in the Iracing.com simulation and we are very proud to have him on the team. Hopefully we get to see Nigel run for his Pro licence in the future as we know he has the talent to run for it and grab it.
